What is CaseTrust Gold?
A home renovation can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and most of it is often paid before the work is finished. That’s why choosing contractor is about more than design. You also need to know you money is safe. Renovation disputes and lost deposits are consistently among the most common complaints received by the Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE).
CaseTrust Gold was introduced to give homeowners stronger protection. At Livinci Interior Design, we’re proud to hold this accreditation. Here’s what it is and why it matters for your renovation.
What is CaseTrust Gold?
CaseTrust is the accreditation arm of CASE. Under its Accreditation Scheme for Renovation Businesses, firms can be accredited at different tiers, and Gold is the highest.
All accredited firms must meet baseline standards for fair trading, financial safeguards and service quality. Gold-accredited firms commit to more: stronger protection for your deposits, a stricter standard contract, healthier material options, and accountability at director level.
Assessed beyond the essentials.
Gold accreditation is not automatic. Businesses undergo independent assessment across the way they communicate, train their people and run their operations.

For Gold: firms must also provide a higher level of prepayment protection, use the CaseTrust Gold renovation contract and have at least one director with recognised certification under the scheme.
Four practical layers of reassurance.
Up to 50% of your contract sum protected
Gold firms provide prepayment protection of up to 50% of the total contract sum, backed by an approved protection instrument such as an insurance bond or banker’s guarantee.
A clear, fair contract
The Gold contract documents scope, drawings and specifications, ties payments to milestones, and requires written approval before variation works proceed.
Healthier material options
Gold firms must offer low-formaldehyde materials, with transparent material specifications and supporting documents where available.
Accountability from the top
At least one company director must hold a recognised certification under the scheme, so consumer-protection responsibilities are overseen by business leadership.
